Teenage years Carrie had her last child, Tom, in 1949. When Mom came home to Lead in 1951-2 for her senior year, the house on McClellan Street was full. Jack, Joe, and Victor were gone, and Richard had died, but all of the other kids were home. Helen, though she was a year older, completed her senior year along with Mom at Saint Patrick's.
