Dad, Margaret, and cousin Robert Legg John's childhood Dad attended Saint Mary's Grammar School in Melrose. Between the births of Dad and Margaret, Estelle gave birth to a baby girl, Rita, who lived only a short time. Margaret Alice was born in 1940. Estelle and Michael moved several times in Melrose, and eventually bought their first home on Pleasant Street after Dad was out of college. Holidays were spent with the Linehan family in Charlestown, and the Legg family was very nearby in Melrose.
