Mom remembers the overwhelming heat in New Orleans, especially at first, but that they really enjoyed life there. Mary was
born on November, 1960, their second year in New Orleans. Raph's birth followed on March 17, 1962. Then on July 8, 1963
Joseph Paul was born. Mom remembers, "Dad would go to work in the mornings and we'd go outside and the kids would play. At
lunch we'd go inside to the air conditioning, eat, and nap, and I thought I was magic getting five kids to nap.”
