Frost Family Jargon

This bulletin board topic is about family jargon. What do we call the different generations? Is there some simple jargon we can use to make it easier to identify ourselves, given that many of us have the same name? (Dave Frost, son of Vic)

The children of Arthur and Caroline call themselves the "Original 12". (ed - I have to wonder if the "Dirty Dozen" was ever considered?!)

Given that the "Original 12" span a generation by themselves (eg. I have Uncles that are closer to my age than they are my Dad's), it may make more sense to step out of the generation concept box. I don't have any good ideas here, just a thought.

Here's a suggestion for naming the generations.
Arthur Karl Frost / Caroline Cecilia Schulte/ + their siblings = Generation 0
(This is the narrow neck of the hour glass)
Generations running back in history are numbered sequentially. My grandparents (ed - i.e. Arthur and Carrie's parents), your great-grandparents become generation 1. And so on. Generations running to the future are lettered sequentially. Thus the Original Twelve are generation A. Your generation is generation B. Your kids are generation C. and so on.
Considering the likelihood of continuing expansion of Frost-Schulte descendents, it would be useful for the record if those who post notices sign their contributions with name, generation letter, and name of same-gender parent. (In the Viking tradition.) This will make most anyone trackable.

I like the idea but ...

Dave, in response to your request for suggestions regarding identification of the appropriate generations, one possibility is:

Sons & Daughters of Arther K & Caroline Frost = Originals
Their kids = Clones
Their kids = Clunkers

Who said all suggestions had to be good?
