Married to Mary Elizabeth Sturbaum, on June 2, 1896, in Monterey, Nebraska (8 miles North of Dodge).

The following information was provided by Ken Schulte.
Joseph and Mary moved to Brunswick, Nebraska in 1919.
They had three children die in infancy: Paul, John, and Mary. They are buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in the Olean's area.
The names Herman and Joseph are sometimes shown in different orders. His wedding ring and mariage certificate shows Herman Joseph, but he used Joseph H. in his letters. [Maybe he didn't like the name Herman?!]
